Ian "The" Smith
I met Ian in 1998. We started working at the IT department for Gwent Police at roughly the same time. Was a strange meeting as I had been given a fairly negative account of him before I met him. However I always like to remain open minded and soon discovered the genius that is the Smith.
Ian and Jo have been together for 6years and had their first baby in July 2005. A little corker called Ryan Nathan.
Ian's notorious for his love of "dayers". This is basically an all day drinking session. However all day does not equal long day. Starting at 3 will almost guarentee by 8 or 9 he needs either a curry or his bed. And around 6 he's drinking shandy, don't be fooled by his protests or any rubbish about a pint with a splash of shandy, it's shandy pure and simple. Many of Ian's dayers occur in his trusty local Wetherspoons "The John Fielding". Hoever some classic dayers have occurred in Newport, Cardiff, Reading and Caerleon.
